*Overall the quality if the provision is good, with some outstanding features. It provides and enjoyable and interesting curriculum that meets the needs of its children effectively. The relationships between staff, parents and children are excellent and this provides a good foundation for learning. Staff hold the welfare and safety of the children at the centre of all they do. The pre-school has good access for disabilities and inclusion is an outstanding feature. There is good capacity for continuous improvement.

*Staff regularly review and monitor children’s progress and use this to target planning to meet the needs of individual children. The leadership and management also monitor the quality of teaching and learning regularly to ensure the highest possible standards.

*Parents are very supportive and feel the staff are friendly and very approachable.

*There are also excellent links with the school and numerous outside agencies, the latter of which help the leadership in providing the outstanding inclusive curriculum they have.

*The children are very confident and happy in the pre-school and talk to each other and adults with ease. They are very polite and socialise with each other without any behaviour issues arising. They share resources and discuss their work both with peers and adults alike. The staff are skilled at appropriate intervention and use this effectively to enhance the children’s learning at all times. The children make good progress in all areas and staff ensure their overall development is good at all times.

*Although staff prepared targeted areas and, through thoughtful intervention, ensure all the children participated in these areas, learning is very much child-led. Children were observed happily playing, both with each other and alone.

*The outdoor area is excellent and the children thoroughly enjoy using it even in inclement weather, due to the covered areas they can use.

*The inclusive nature of the provision is outstanding and evident in all they do.
