Fox Cubs took part in the school’s Race for Life” on Tuesday the 3rd of July. They all ran one lap of the school field and were given a medal for doing so well. The whole school raised over £1000 in sponsorship money!

We are planning to get muddy on Thursday 26th April! We will be raising money for “Save the Children”, so remember your wellies and waterproofs!

We have learnt about the different names of dinosaurs and have been on a dinosaur dig where we found fossils of dinosaur bones!
We were visited by author Robert Crowther who read his book, “Dinosaur Alphabet” to us. He also helped us to make our own ‘pop-up’ dinosaurs!
We made our own ‘dinosaur cave’ with papier mache and pretended that we were dinosaurs, singing our Dinosaur nursery rhyme!
We brought our own dinosaur things in from home too – toys, books and clothes!
We visited Kilmar class and saw their dinosaur skeleton…can you guess which dinosaur it was?
We also hatched our own dinosaur by pouring water into a cup and putting the egg in the water. They started to hatch into tiny dinosaurs after a few days!
We have had lots of fun learning about dinosaurs!

We dressed up as our favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day 2018.
We would like to say a warm “welcome back” to our pre-school children and their families, and a friendly “hello” to our new families.
We will now be known as the “Fox Cubs” and are located in a new classroom, which is now part of Lewannick School’s EYFS wing.
We look forward to seeing you all and are excited at learning lots of new things together this term.
We all had an amazing time at Plymouth’s National Marine Aquarium! We had to find lots of different sea creatures and we watched some of the animals being fed.
We found jellyfish, stingrays, sharks, starfish, lobsters, seahorses and some of us even saw a turtle!

We would like to remind you that, as part of our Sun Safe Award, all children will be required to have sun cream and sun hats available for their use every day throughout the summer term. Could you please therefore send a sun cream, labelled with your child’s name, and a sun hat? To make things easier, we will store the sun cream all together at Pre-School so that it is always available. Thank you.
